I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), specializing in digital health, medical informatics, and computational social science. I received my PhD in Computer Science and Informatics from Cardiff University, and completed postdoctoral positions at the University of Leicester and the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Chris Brightling and Prof. Melinda Mills.

My research focuses on creating integrative, data-driven frameworks for understanding and improving health through natural language processing and semantic analysis. I am particularly interested in data standardization, multimodal integration, and digital twin approaches, where information from wearables, patient-reported outcomes, electronic health records, imaging, and multi-omics data can be combined into dynamic health models that support prediction, personalized intervention, and decision-making.

I also work on natural language processing and multimodal social media analysis, exploring how online discourse, visual culture, and behavioral signals reflect public perceptions and cultural narratives around health and society. Additionally, I use scientometrics and knowledge graphs for large-scale trend analyses to map interdisciplinary connections and identify emerging frontiers in digital health and related fields.

At XJTLU, I teach CPT105 (Introduction to Programming in Java) and work closely with researchers, innovators, and influencers across health, social science, culture, and fashion. I serve as Associate Editor for the Journal of Social Computing and Digital Health.
